DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — A fatal shooting involving police at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana left one man dead early Saturday morning.
The Lawrenceburg Police Department responded to the scene around 1 a.m. for reports of a man chasing a woman around the casino and making threats.
When police arrived, they were informed that there were further reports of shots fired.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
One victim sustained minor injuries after the suspect confronted him with a knife prior to police arriving.
All officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as part of normal Lawrenceburg PD protocols.
Lawrenceburg PD requested that Indiana State Police take over the investigation into the shooting. More information will come as the investigation continues.
