Two teenage boys are facing injuries, one of them life-threatening, after a Wednesday night shooting in Orlando, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to OCSO, deputies responded to the 2300 block of Huntington Green Court around 8:15 p.m. in regards to a shooting. There, they located a 14-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
While OCSO originally reported one injury, deputies say another 14-year-old boy showed up to the hospital later with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Investigators say both teens were shot in the same incident, adding that they believe it was not a random act of violence.
A young man who didn’t want to be identified believes we’re seeing several extremely young people involved in gun violence due to the people they’re associating with.
“Try their very best to fit in with the older crowd, and unfortunately, that’s carrying firearms,” said the young man
