The New Orleans Police Department is investigating after an armed robbery ended with a woman being shot in Mid-City Wednesday morning.
According to the NOPD, an armed robbery was reported in the 4400 block of Banks Street.
Around 7:54 a.m., NOPD officers said a woman was sitting in her car when a suspect approached her.
The suspect is accused of firing a gun through the woman’s driver window, injuring her.
She was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The victim told police that the shooting happened during an armed robbery.
