A Phenix City man is dead following an early morning two-vehicle crash that occurred eight miles south of Eufaula.
20-year-old Christian Amaya-Marquez was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The crash occurred on U.S. 431 near the 57-mile marker on Oct. 23.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Marquez was driving a 2007 Jeep Liberty that left the roadway and hit a parked 2018 Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer.
No details have been released on what led to the crash. ALEA is investigating.
