
A San Antonio native and professional football player was injured in a late-night shooting in Denver earlier this month. Two people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder after Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds was shot.
A report from NBC affiliate 9News in Denver reports that Reynolds was shot in his left arm and once in the back of his head. Police reported the injuries were non-life threatening. Burr Charlesworth was arrested in connection with the shooting on Saturday, October 19, and Luis Mendoza was arrested on Tuesday, October 22. Police said both men are charged with attempted first degree murder and first degree assault.
According to police, the shooting happened around 3:12 a.m. on Friday, October 18 while Reynolds and the other man were driving. The news report said Reynolds and the man were followed after they left a strip club around 2:45 a.m. and the men told police “there were no problems” while at the club.
