News broke of a shooting involving Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds on Thursday, though it occurred several days before.
After leaving a strip club in downtown Denver in the early morning hours of October 18, Reynolds was shot in the back of the head and in his left arm but miraculously, the injuries were not considered to be serious. Reynolds, in his first season with the Broncos, was placed on injured reserve following surgery on a finger. He has not played in Week 5 against the Las Vegas Raiders. .
The incident reportedly occurred after Reynolds and a group of friends left a club called Shotgun Willies. Two men have been arrested in connection to the shooting. They have been identified as Burr Charlesworth, 42, and Luis Mendoza, 35.
It is expected that Reynolds will rejoin the team as soon as possible and this incident won’t cause any kind of setback. However, for Broncos fans, it will conjure up terrible memories of the killing of Darrent Williams, who lost his life due to very similar circumstances on New Year’s Day in 2007
