
Very sad news for his family so sad
Tate and Evie Porter, two siblings aged 9 and 11 respectively were tragically killed after a devastating car crash on the 202 freeway in Arizona on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Two children were killed in a four-vehicle crash along the westbound Loop 202 near McKellips Road in Mesa Wednesday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The deceased kids were identified as a 9-year-old boy and 11-year-old girl – who family later identified as Tate and Evie Porter.
The crash happened the kids were being driven by their mother in a pickup truck on the freeway. Social media identified her as Dani Hancock Porter.
Her pickup struck a flatbed tow truck on the right shoulder of the freeway in the left rear, causing the right side of the pickup to be torn off.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said in their statement: “The force of the impact tore off the right side of the pickup killing a 9-year-old male and 11-year-old female. Both children were in seatbelts. A 6-year-old male suffered minor injuries,”
The mother of the deceased children who was driving, suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The statement added that she will not face criminal charges. Authorities believe she was distracted by the children in the vehicle while she was driving.
A GoFundMe was quickly established to raise money to help the grieving family.
It read: “Tate and Evie, age 9 and 11, were tragically killed on the 202 freeway in Arizona today, October 23, 2024, in a car accident. Their parents and siblings are now not only having to face life without two of their children, but a mound of medical and funeral bills just years after one of their children went through a long course of cancer treatment.”
Seeking a modest $20,000 goal, the fundraiser managed to garner over $120,937 from over 1400 donations.
