
The Kentucky State Police Department (KSP) is investigating after a crash left two dead and one with serious injuries on Friday afternoon in Adair County.
According to a news release, troopers at Post 15 were dispatched just after 2:30 p.m. on Friday to KY 55 in response to a two-vehicle crash in the area.

An initial investigation showed that 74-year-old Linda Young of Jamestown was driving south on KY 55 in a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze when she crossed the center line of the highway entering the northbound lane, per KSP.
Troopers said when Young crossed the center line, she reportedly crashed head-on into a 2016 GMC Yukon driven by 55-year-old Dana Arnold of Grand Rivers.

Arnold was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington for treatment of serious injuries. Linda Young and 45-year-old Chris Young, a passenger in her car, were both pronounced dead by the Adair County coroner.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
