Five people were killed in a wrong-way crash overnight, Fort Worth police said.
Officers responded to a crash around 3:35 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27 in the westbound lanes of Loop 820 Freeway near Marine Creek Parkway, according to a press release from Fort Worth Police.
Police believe a vehicle was driving the wrong way on Loop 820 when it crashed into another vehicle, sparking a fire and trapping people inside their vehicle, according to the release.
Five people were pronounced dead on the scene and one person was taken to a hospital, police said.
Police are investigating the crash, the release states.
