WBFF (Baltimore, MD) — At least one of a barrage of bullets fired in Federal Hill over the weekend critically injured a 19-year-old girl from Pasadena.

According to family Cameran Holt, 19, has been on life support at Maryland Shock Trauma since early Sunday.

Her mother tells FOX45 News her daughter is paralyzed from the neck down after a single bullet struck her in the back.

“Right now we’re still in a very critical state. We want to give it more time to assess the injuries. Right now she’s on life support. She’s paralyzed essentially from the neck down. She’s able to communicate with us using her eyes. She’s blinking twice for yes. Moving her eyes side to side for no,” said Roxanne Spath, Cameran’s mother.

Spath saw the surveillance video that captured people running as nearly two dozen gunshots were fired on West Hamburg street around 3:45 am Sunday.

She said the screams that can be heard in another surveillance clip are from her other daughter who was with Cameran and another girlfriend when Cameran was shot while inside her car.

“From my understanding it was two groups firing at one another and Cameran was caught in the middle,” said Spath.

The mother says the family had just gathered for a gender reveal party earlier that day. Afterwards, Cameran, her sister, and a girlfriend decided to go to Federal Hill.

The teen, she says, had parked her car off West Hamburg Street.

The mother told FOX45 News the girls had gotten into Cameran’s car when two groups began arguing, and as they were pulling away someone opened fire.

Cameran’s mother recalled getting the phone call that her daughter had been shot.

“I couldn’t wrap my mind around it. I couldn’t get here fast enough. I think I ran every red light to get here as any mother would. You know you just want to get here. You want to wrap your arms around your baby to make sure they’re okay,” said Spath. “When I saw her I wanted to switch places with her.

“I want answers. I want to know who did this to my daughter,” Spath added.

No arrests have been made in the case and Baltimore Police are remaining tight lipped about the investigation.

The Department has confirmed a 28-year-old man was also shot during the incident.

Investigators have not confirmed what they believe led up to the shooting, if there was an exchange of gunfire, and if they have any information on a suspect.

As the investigation continues, the community is rallying around Cameran’s family.
