The stabbing that killed 18-year-old Derrin Loving on Tuesday happened in a boy’s bathroom near a cafeteria at Manor Senior High School, Manor police said Wednesday.
Another student, Mac Brown Mbah Mbanwei, 18, was arrested and charged with murder after the incident, officials said.
Austin-Travis County EMS was called to the school at 14832 FM 973 about 12:47 p.m. Tuesday, after a Manor school district police officer found and disarmed a student with a knife, district and Manor police officials said. Loving was pronounced dead at 1:12 p.m., officials said. Loving was stabbed multiple times in the chest with a kitchen knife, police said Tuesday night.
